Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This policy explains what personal information BilingualSLT collects through bilingualslt.co, why, and your choices.
Who we are. BilingualSLT is operated by Bodour Imseeh, based in Amman, Jordan. Bodour Imseeh is responsible for how personal information collected through bilingualslt.co is used and protected.
For privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at bilingualslt.enquiries@gmail.com.
Who our accounts are for. Our free accounts are for adults aged 18 and over. When you create an account, you confirm that you’re 18 or over. If we have reason to believe an account belongs to someone under 18, we’ll review it individually and may close it. Our public educational pages are open to everyone, including families, without an account.
1. Information we collect
- Free account. Your first name, email address, a password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form) and which best describes you: speech and language therapist or speech-language pathologist, student, parent or carer, teacher or education professional, or other. Your role helps us understand who uses our resources and tailor what we send. It doesn’t change what you can access. We also record whether you’ve verified your email address and, if you choose to receive emails, the wording you agreed to and when. To create an account, you tick a box to confirm you’re 18 or over; an account can’t be created without it. We don’t keep a separate record of that confirmation or of when you gave it.
- Optional clinician profile. On our speech sound disorder tools we may ask your country, the languages you work in and your work setting. Every question is optional, you can skip it, and your access doesn’t depend on it. We note whether you answered or skipped, when you last changed your answers, and the date you first used one of these tools.
- Our clinician tools. The SSD Approach Finder and SSD Differential Tool run in your browser. We don’t store the answers you choose or anything you type into them.
- Free resources and family updates. When you request a free resource or sign up for family updates, we receive your email address (and your first name, if you give it) and whether you ticked the optional box to receive emails from us. Our website keeps a record of each sign-up: the details you entered, the date and time, and the page you used. If you tick the box, this record is our evidence that you asked to receive emails. Sign-up records made before 1 November 2026 may also include your IP address and browser details.
- Team licensing enquiries. If you ask about a team licence, we receive your name, email address, organisation, the number of copies and your message. Our website keeps a record of your enquiry, including the date and time and the page you used.
- Contact form. See section 8.
- Past shop orders. Our shop closed to new purchases in October 2026. We keep the records of past orders: name, email address, the billing details you gave, what you bought and your download access, so past customers can still sign in and download what they bought. New shop accounts can no longer be created. Card and payment details were handled by our payment providers and aren’t stored by us.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider (GoDaddy) and our security provider (Patchstack) process technical data such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
2. How we use your information
- To run your account: verifying your email address, signing you in, resetting your password and confirming account deletion. These service emails are sent through our email delivery service, Brevo.
- To send you the free resource you asked for, by email through Brevo.
- To send you new resources, updates and occasional news, only if you tick the box to agree (section 3).
- To reply to team licensing enquiries.
- To understand who uses our clinician resources and what to build next (optional profile). It’s never used for advertising and isn’t shared with our newsletter or analytics tools.
- To keep records of past orders and to give past customers continued access to their downloads.
- To reply to messages (section 8).
- To keep the website secure.
3. Email newsletter (Mailchimp)
We add you to our Mailchimp audience only if you tick a box to agree. There are two ways to do this:
- When you create a free account: we add your email address, first name and role, but only after you’ve verified your email address.
- When you request a free resource or sign up for family updates: we add your email address (and first name, if you gave it) straight away, with a tag showing which form you used. If you don’t tick the box, we don’t add you; you still receive the free resource.
You receive our newsletter only if you asked to receive it. You can unsubscribe using the link in any email. When you do, Mailchimp tells our website, and if you have an account we update it to show you no longer want emails. If you delete your account, we unsubscribe you in Mailchimp. Mailchimp keeps a record that you unsubscribed, so you aren’t added again by mistake. You can ask us to remove that record too, but without it we can’t make sure you won’t be added again by mistake.
Information from our former shop held by Mailchimp. Our former shop was connected to Mailchimp, which received some past customers’ names, email addresses and order details, and information about the products in the shop. We disconnected it in November 2026, so no further shop information is sent to Mailchimp. Mailchimp still holds the information it received before then. This is separate from the order records our website keeps (section 1). Being in this record doesn’t subscribe anyone to our newsletter. We haven’t yet decided how long to keep it; we’ll update this policy when we do. You can ask us at any time to delete your information from it. We’ll do so unless we need to keep some of it to meet a legal obligation, or to keep a minimal record that makes sure you aren’t sent emails you’ve asked not to receive.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. Optional cookies are off until you choose them, and you can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings button at the bottom of every page. Only if you accept statistics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, and events such as whether an account form was completed, which steps and broad kinds of result are reached in our clinician tools, and which printables are downloaded. We set these events up so that they don’t include your name, email address, account ID, the profiles you compare or anything you type. Google Analytics still uses an identifier stored in a cookie on your device and receives technical information about your device and browser, so this information is not completely anonymous. Google Analytics keeps event data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months; Google signals and data sharing with other Google products are off.
5. Who we share information with
We don’t sell your personal information. We use these service providers, who process it on our behalf:
- Brevo: sending account emails, free-resource emails, contact-form messages and our website’s form notifications;
- Mailchimp: our email newsletter, only if you agree. It also still holds some information from our former shop (section 3);
- Google: Google Analytics (only with your consent) and our Gmail inbox, which receives contact-form messages;
- Microsoft: our Outlook email inbox, which receives notifications of family-updates sign-ups;
- Payment providers for past orders: Stripe, WooPayments and PayPal;
- GoDaddy: website hosting, including its content delivery network;
- Patchstack: website security.
Some of these providers process information outside Jordan, for example in the United States and the European Union.
6. How long we keep information
- Your account and optional clinician profile: until you delete your account.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe (Mailchimp keeps a record of the unsubscribe, as above).
- Free-resource and family-update sign-up records: if you ticked the box to receive emails, we keep the record while you’re subscribed, as evidence of your choice, and review it after you unsubscribe. Otherwise we keep it for 12 months.
- Team licensing enquiries: for 12 months after our last correspondence about them, unless they lead to an agreement or invoice, which we keep as business records.
- Past order records: we keep these while we confirm the period required by the accounting and tax rules that apply to us. We’ll update this policy when that period is confirmed.
- Past shop information held by Mailchimp: see section 3.
- Contact-form messages: see section 8.
- Analytics: as in section 4.
We review the records we keep every three months and delete those we no longer need under the periods above.
7. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal information, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Deletion is subject to the exceptions below.
- Delete your account yourself from your account page: this removes your account and your optional clinician profile from our website and unsubscribes you from our emails.
- Ask us for a copy of your data or for its deletion at bilingualslt.enquiries@gmail.com. We’ll export your account, profile, consent records, sign-up records and enquiries, and erase them unless an exception below applies. If you have an account from our former shop, you can ask us to delete it too.
- Information we may need to keep:
- past order records, while the accounting and tax retention period applies (section 6);
- any other information we’re required to keep by law;
- a minimal record that you’ve unsubscribed or asked not to be contacted (such as your email address and the date), so we don’t send you emails again by mistake.
If you have a concern about how we handle your information, please contact us at bilingualslt.enquiries@gmail.com and we’ll do our best to resolve it.
8. Contact form
When you send a message through our contact form, we receive your name, your email address and your message. If you choose to answer “I am a…”, we also receive whether you’re a parent or carer, a speech and language therapist, a teacher or another professional. We use these details only to read and reply to your message. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
Your message is sent to our email inbox (Gmail, provided by Google) through our email delivery service, Brevo. The website itself doesn’t keep a copy of your message, and the form doesn’t set cookies. We retain correspondence only for as long as necessary to respond to enquiries and manage related communications. You can ask us to delete your message at any time.
Please don’t include names or other identifying information about children in your message.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords.
10. Changes to this policy
We’ll post any changes on this page and update the date at the top.
